Yesterday the Team had their 2nd and final rest day before the final haul to the South Pole! They were all very tired and really looking forward to this day, they collected the last resupply during the previous day and after setting up camp for the evening delved in!
The treats included presents from Vanessa and Chris Lock (Alan’s Parents) and a Lamb curry. All team members were thrilled at the curry - apart from Richard who does not like curry. As the team will be skiing as normal on Christmas day, they used the rest day as their early Christmas. Presents included some chocolate coins/credit cards which were quickly devoured.
We also have a treat of our own, Polar Vision would like to thank Iridium for their fantastic support. Iridium have gone above and beyond to ensure that replacement kit was shipped out to Antarctica and distributed to the support company who manage the resupply. The new kit means that we now lucky enough to have photographs of the team!
Here are some of the first few which have been sent through……. More to come!
Please also note - if you would like to send the team ‘messages or questions’ over the festive period, either use the contact us page or Facebook. All messages will be relayed and I am sure the team would love to hear from you all.
