Andrew Cooney
Andrew Cooney is no stranger to Antarctica, in 2003 at the age of 23 he became the youngest person to walk to the Geographical South Pole, his passion for the outdoors and expeditions has not wavered, in 2008 he was set to lead a team to the North Pole, unfortunately a car crash prevented him from going on the expedition, now fully recovered he ready to don his snow shoes again and venture back to the South Pole.
When not taking part in expeditions Andrew runs a Social Enterprise (Inspiring, Challenging & Educating) which works to raise the aspiration levels in young people, and provide education to support the positive development of young people.
Andrew is a former Army officer and now lives in Nottinghamshire, England with wife and baby daughter. When not working Andrew Volunteers on a historic fishing boat, sailing it around the UK coast as a floating museum.
